A Success Story

Mr. Devidas C. Kshatriya, the director of J.K.B. Impex Ltd., started his export business in Taiwan in the year of 1983. His business has successfully fulfilled customers’ needs by offering a wide range of products, from cosmetics to daily use items and auto accessories.

Before creating his base in Taiwan, Mr. Kshatriya frequently visited Taiwan since 1978 in search for products and to purchase goods. It was during this period that he observed a lot of prospective opportunities regarding merchandising in Taiwan. The availability of such industries worked in favor for him to initiate a successful business plan due to competitive pricing and products.

From his experience of living in Taiwan for 24 years, Mr. Kshatriya gives the credit for his achievement to his Taiwanese staff members. It has been a pleasure to work with the Taiwanese people because they are very hardworking, dedicated, honest, respectful and friendly. As this form of business demands one to work closely with the Taiwanese factories, the manufacturers have been proven to be very cooperative and trustworthy. Such support and efficiency from the Taiwanese citizens has allowed his business to approach international clients and create customer satisfaction.

Coming from an Indian background, initially, Mr. Kshatriya found it hard to communicate because of a language barrier. However, through time and with the help of fellow citizens, it was fairly easy to adjust to living and working in this environment. Over the past 10 to 15 years, Taiwan has emerged and brought in major positive developments for the economy and the country, hence, increasing the standard of living for the public. Overall, living and owning a business in Taiwan has been a learning experience for Mr. Kshatriya.
